Help make her dream come true
Many guys think of marring and raising a family. We men tend to look at the family part when we dream of our future but not so much the wedding itself. We know there will be a ceremony, reception, maybe a bachelor party (ok…defiantly a bachelor party) and a honeymoon, but beyond that the only detail most of us tend to concern ourselves with is the cost.
A wise man once said, “a wedding doesn’t happen for the groom, it happens to the groom.” There is no doubt; the wedding is really the Bride’s day While we may have been dreaming of a family and kids, our future wife may have been dreaming of the same, but she did not fast-forward through the wedding day. Very likely, your wife to be has planned and dreamt of this day since she was a little girl. Helping her make her dream come true is the first real gift you can give her as her new husband. Here are three tips to doing just that!
- Cost-Weddings cost money, but if budgeted properly and planned with care they don’t have to break the bank. Work with your wife to be on a budget for the ceremony. If your future wife presents an item that you feel is a bit too much on the expensive side, instead of trying to talk her out of it, look to your budget and see if there is a way to afford it. One way to make sure you’re not spending too much money in one area is to get at least three quotes for each service you plan to use. You will be surprised how much they vary. Don’t be afraid to ask friends and relatives for help.
- Best Man-Your Bride will depend greatly on her maid and/or matron of honor. You need to be able to depend on your best man. You should pick someone who can manage his time and is not financially strapped. Not only will this person plan your bachelor party, and toast to your happiness, they will handle many unforeseen details. This should be someone you trust to get jobs done.
- Vows at the ceremony or a toast for your bride-Some couples choose to have traditional vows at their wedding. If this is your situation, consider giving your new wife a toast at the reception. Imagine your future life together. The children, the middle age, and growing old together till death separates you. Imagine your whole life that you will live together. Imagine the pains and the pleasures of your life. Ignore looking at the decorations, the guests and everything else. Focus only upon your wife and you will find a transformation taking place in your thoughts. If you write your own vows, think of the same things. Such words from the heart will add a magic to the evening for both you and her.
Remember, this is the day you will celebrate every anniversary for the rest of your life. Let those anniversaries be a celebration of how you started to grow to together as a couple. Congratulations and have a great wedding!
